Workforce Development Coordinator:
The Workforce Development Coordinator is primarily responsible for developing and maintaining career development/exploration programs and activities at Midcoast Youth Center for teens and young adults ages 16-24. The desired candidate will work closely with Extended Learning Opportunity programs a local schools, develop partnerships with local employers and businesses, provide direct service learning opportunities for young people entering the workforce.
The Community Navigator will be responsible for working closely with our Workforce Development Specialist and Youth Outreach Coordinator to ensure teens and young adults are connected to a variety of community supports to meet basic needs and allow a young person to overcome any barriers they may be facing.
Social Media & Content Creators:
We are seeking a small group of teens/young adults to assist in developing a media department at MYC. The Media Department will work collaboratively to leverage today’s technology (social media, content creation, music, and art) and share community offerings in a relevant way to today’s young adult populations.
This media department would participate in training on social media marketing, content creation, communications, print production, and entrepreneurial skills. The media department may be hired by local nonprofits and businesses, to attract new supporters and consumers, to highlight programs, offerings, and products.
