Teen Center for Ages 10-24
Our teen center provides a safe place to hang out with friends for local youth ages 10-24. (Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult over 21.)
There's always something going on at Midcoast Youth Center!! From daily art to fitness challenges to heading outside to enjoy some fresh air to just hanging out in the quiet room. We enjoy playing games, watching movies, cooking & eating together.
Students can also access help with homework or any other concerns they may have. All MYC staff are trained in NAMI Maine's Youth Mental Health First Aid and are happy to connect youth to a variety of local resources.
Dinner is served on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 5pm, through our Meal Train. We make pancakes for dinner on Tuesdays and grilled cheese on Thursdays!
Free snacks abound, thanks to our friends at the Bath Area Backpack Program, and we even have non-perishables to take home.
Our compass program is available for grades 6-9 and is designed to help students chart new territory as they learn to navigate being productive members of our crew. Learn more
"We must be guardians of a space that allows students to breathe and be curious and explore the world and be who they are without suffocation. They deserve one place where they can rumble with vulnerability and their hearts can exhale. And what I know from the research is that we should never underestimate the benefit to a child of having a place to belong - even one - where they can take off their armor. It can and often does change the trajectory of their life."
